Wil Russell Nichols, professionally known as XINIX, is an alternative music artist whose dark, gritty sound blends industrial, punk, rap, and techno influences. Born in 1999 in Indianapolis, Indiana, XINIX found solace in music early on, experimenting with the piano at five and later diving into music production as a teenager. His music is a reflection of resilience, drawing from a turbulent past filled with personal struggles and intense life experiences.

At seventeen, XINIX lost his mother to cancer, an event that deeply shaped his outlook and fueled the raw emotion in his music. The influence of artists like Kid Cudi, Kanye West, XXXTentacion, and Lil Peep is evident in his introspective and rebellious style, which challenges societal norms and explores the darker sides of human nature. XINIX's teenage years were marked by battles with substance abuse and run-ins with the law, including a period of institutionalization and jail time. These hardships, along with a near-death experience at twenty-five from an overdose, sharpened his focus and drive to live authentically and fearlessly, further pushing his creative boundaries.

His upcoming debut album, VISIONARY, channels themes of rebellion, emotional numbness, and strength, drawing inspiration from Kanye West’s YEEZUS with cyberpunk and gothic influences.
